I think it’s just potential speculations and plans, I don’t see many people are impacted. So just wonder where are those and will most be intact after all?

Where are you hiding in shell if you haven’t heard there’s a re org going on :-)
Literally every part of the business is getting cut by 20%.
If you think any corporation cares about you as an employee then you got some learning to do
Shell don’t care how long you’ve been with company or how well you’ve performed, if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time you’re disposable like any of their employees.
IGU seems to have changed language from ‘looking at options of to 20% cuts’ to the average across IGU will be 20%, some parts higher, some a bit lower.
I bleed the pecten but I don’t feel shell feels the same for me
Package details have been available for awhile, just hard to find.
Look on the HR U.S. Policy & Benefits sharepoint site, and then bottom right the ‘ US Special Severance Plan Offboarding Guide’
Any word on what the package will be?
I know of so many b-ms that should be laid off but they are not impacted. Re org needs to be better.
I'm not putting any effort into working until I know my fate in a few weeks. why work hard if youre gonna get laid off in a few weeks
Everyone still wfh no urgency to be at the office
MOR is a joke. Shell makes it harder to apply for a job internally versus an external hire.
I think if the severance terms had dropped we would have actually heard by now from some victims. Rumours are fun to spread but like the last poster says, the evidence points to the package staying the same as it has been in recent years.
I’m in deepwater and our group has 30% reduction. I am impacted and was told the severance is the typical severance we have seen in years past. No reduction. But I have not yet seen my paperwork so cannot confirm.
Current victim here. Found out this week.
I believe Wael is prepping to bring Shell stateside and then acquire BP.
Any time MOR is involved y’all should be looking elsewhere. Honestly, there are so many great jobs out there. Most people who exit go on to have better careers. The only reasons to stay are 1) you are identified (most are not), 2) you have less than 5 yrs. Everyone else should have their resumes up to date and be regularly looking.
MOR stands for managed open resourcing, as opposed to OR which is just open resourcing. MOR used for mass reorganizations, usually involves substantial reduction in the number of roles such that people are being unmapped to their current roles, and need to apply for their job back. Applicants can apply for maximum of five roles and should rank roles according to preference. There are no interviews and you must be prepared to accept any of the roles that you applied for. If you refuse, it’s considered a resignation.
Newbie here. What’s MOR?
I am a victim of a reorg. We will find out about MOR outcomes soon.
Severance is supposedly being reduced to the following
Up to 5 years: 3 months
6-10 years: 6 months
More: 9 months
Could be a rumor but I have reason to believe it’s not
Reshape victim here, with 28 years of service. Received max 72 weeks of pay for severance, and was paid for 5 weeks of vacation I had on the books. Not sure what Shell offers now, but I can tell you I don’t miss that place.
It is 3 weeks per year of service but you get a minimum of 12 weeks if you have less than 4 years of service. Also, your bonus will be based on whatever the last BPF was. If you leave the company in September than your bonus will be based on the Q2 BPF. I also think you get your vacation paid out as well
It’s max 30 weeks
I’ve been told it’s 3 weeks per year
So what was the package? Three weeks per year of service up to a max of 1.5x annual salary? Were/are you based at WCK? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!
Yes indeed. I was impacted but the package was much better than expected so I’m actually quite happy. Such a dis functional company that changes it mind every five minutes. Really just a ridiculous management team that has no problem hiring and firing folks on a whim. Grab a package as soon as you can and move on to better days. The packages will only get worse.
Pretty much every department is impacted. They are doing it a bit more sneaky this time though and you don’t really get the information about other teams, but it is happening. Each department is moving at different speeds, but overall they seem to want to cut about 20%.
Trading, especially support functions, seem to not be replacing people who have either left for other roles or left the company. That's what I've seen
IT is cutting a bunch
Upstream is having its run at Reshape v2.0 currently. People will definitely notice a difference when the org charts are released in a month or so.
