Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

The legacy of BL

As one of the devoted employees swept aside in the reinvent travesty I hold BL and KD personally accountable. Whilst the package came with a settlement agreement the prejudice and unethical behavior of these individuals and the company now means I can sue BP. LFG

That’s not only KD - all of our leaders act like that

KD is a miserable person, a horrible leader, inauthentic, uneducated, low class and undeserved high snobbery.

I raised a conflict of interest concern to a high level during the selection process. Asked a D level manager that I did not want my boss representing me during selections due to conflict of interest and was told I should have no concerns and that no conflict existed. Still have that recording of the call.

@pmp+1tBM2SxL in an industry where safety is paramount, that kind of discrimination is potentially dangerous. Selection and promotion should be on merit only. If you want an insight into the character of BL, do a search for GQ magazine UK version. His ex wife, Jacqueline Hurst, wrote an article called "emotional abuse'. It's him she is referring to throughout. Some of his behaviour towards her beggars belief. The guy was also the worst thing to ever happen to BP. Wherever he travelled, he would be photographed with young female engineers.

In a U.S. class action the plaintiffs would have the right to have bp disclose how it dealt with conflicts of interest during the selection process and how it ensured internal personal relationships were managed. They’d have to disclose the inner workings of the process.

Are you UK or US based? Of you are advised that you have a case, then sue. The thing about KD is that people are under the misapprehension that human resources are there to help you. They are there to protect the company and will do anything they can to keep their own cushy job. As for BL, what he is really like is shown by how he treated his ex-wife. Not only did he dump her by a WhatsApp message, but she was told by a BP executive that he only married her to get the CEO job. Apparently, Chairman Svanberg had told him he would have to be married to get the job, so he promptly went out and found a wife. The poor woman ended up with PTSD because of BL. Unbelievable but true. He obviously doesn't care about the effect that his actions have on other people. KD? She will just do his dirty work for him.

I think there’s a class action here. BL and the board laid off individuals in a cloaked and prejudiced manner, citing a strategic shift which has proven to be a massive misstep by the company given its disastrous share price performance. Who’s in? I know I am!!! I should have received 10 times the package.
