You do not need to treat employees like children as if we don’t take care of the same life responsibilities as every other adult does. We all have mortgages/rent/ bills and kids. Why are you trying to control how an e-mail is written or how our inbox is organized? The job gets done so seriously why so bothered. We are also salary and treated like hourly employees. Management takes your PTO when internet or electricity is out even if it’s an hour or so. We are volunteered for special projects constantly which take up a ton of time because they require 8 spreadsheets and 20 pages open to try and fix a stuck order so we can bill $40 before end of period. Teams calls …any questions? Someone asks a question and are instantly belittled in front of whole team for their d-mb question. Raises don’t even cover insurance increases and if you ask about moving up you’re told there is no opportunity and to look for another job. Also pressured to make sales for sales people but get paid nothing for your efforts. Take your pat on the back I don’t need that I need groceries. Why do they hate us?

I was at Staples for a LONG time! I stayed for the people & culture. I can’t explain how drastically it changed in 2022/2023. Very sad. What I can say is the grass is SO much greener somewhere new. Believe in you, find something that feels right, and make the jump. Every good person there is better than sticking around in “comfortable” anxiety about “what’s next.” At the end of the day, it’s toilet paper, post its, and pens. There’s better services / solutions, successful companies, out there with leadership that actually treats you like a human being. “We are human” was ironically the beginning of the downfall. All of the good people are gone. Desperate hires = desperate micro managers. I do agree with the post - address how you feel for change or leave. Although that company is so fake and lost you’ll likely be on a lay off hit list with no change if you bring it up. Drink the koolaid or find yourself drinking a co-----l after being let go is the motto for all still there. Good luck!
Micromanaging you say??! Is SN back???
There are better companies hiring. Leave Staples behind
Why do you think people are pompadour announced when they join the company and and anonymously denounced when let go? Why the org change email never has the names of the ordinary people that were terminated? Any thoughts?
Life's too short to be that unhappy. Have an opne, honest conversation with your manager or seek out something else, but don't just stay unhappy
