I presume until the next round, which is probably around the corner. Just a piece of advice - don’t take on others’ work, don’t pick up the slack, don’t even try to figure out things which are mgmt duty. Do what’s your usual stuff with minimal effort. Is there a reason we should be a buffer for badly managed layoffs and cuts that we had no say in? And then get laid off at the first next opportunity?

I’d agree, when my RIF happend it was clearly a choice my manager made on who she liked not performance. I could prove in metrics and work I was at the top of performance.
(Landmark) i'm this recent round, 1/12 nurses was laid off. Just the poor 1 and no one really had any reasoning on why. And she was one of our hardest workers. What this taught me is it doesn't matter how hard I work or how good of a job I do, it could be anyone.
My job description is: 1) Do what we ask of you. 2) Do anything extra we ask of you 3) And do it well.
