Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Was HouseCalls hit by the layoffs?

If the HouseCalls department wasn't hit by this recent layoff, are there plans for that department to decrease staffing by the end of the year or early next year? Wasn't there word about Landmark taking over HouseCalls operations in the not too distant future?

Ultimately, who will be left to call seniors to schedule them for the annual nurse visits?

I’m confused by this whole reduction in force. Landmark will end more likely shut down operations 12/31/24. The remaining NPs, MDs, CCs, etc if not affected by the next round of lay offs will be absorbed by Housecalls?
Or is Optum just going to get rid of all the staff they absorbed from Landmark nationwide— lay them all off?

Thanks for the info. Does this mean the Las Vegas, San Diego and Texas offices dealing with HouseCalls won't expect layoffs in that department and operate as business as usual? I'm assuming this HouseCalls program will continue to exist in some form or another under Optum for the foreseeable future?

Landmark is basically nonexistent now. Landmark Local Outreach is who called Medicare/Caid member to schedule initial appts. Half of local outreach nationally was "redeployed" in Feb and work was absorbed by Central Outreach. Just prior to that layoff, Central outreach became part of HC outreach/Cust Svc. LM physicians were either let go or became part of HC. Pretty sure you don't have anything to worry about. There is no Landmark to take over anything.
