Met with couple of very senior VMware folks both technical and managers (Directors actually), I can't believe that someone can have such a high title and at the same time, no positive impact at all. Now I understand why VMware sank so fast, feels bad for the founders.

Maybe they were productive before they joined a company that treats its employees differently than the company they joined by choice?
Omg stop with the revenue per employee cr-p. One, bcom HR is so understaffed I’m amazed anything gets done, but hey that helps with rpe right. Two the rpe will not drive the price down, most of people are getting kicked to the curb, especially redundant support rolls. Three, if the decision to buy VMware was so bad, you are calling a choice your god king made in to question, that seems very counter culture for a Broadcom person. Maybe you should spend some time in one of the money pit offices so you can colllaborate remotely with your team in other geos.
“ CDK has been breached in a cyber security attack and has shut down their SaaS. Did you know that CDK is a user of VMware SD-WAN and SASE security since 2019? It didn't work so well this time, https://sase.vmware.com/resources/cdk-global”
What did the customer fail to patch this time or what best practice did they fail to follow?
“we actually work hard to get high pay”
I have never seen this much of navel gazing in any other company that I have worked at including FANG. This is rich coming from a sh-t-tier company like Broadcom. How would you quantify such a claim? In company whose CEO believes software is air, such BS riddled claims should not be surprising.

lol thanks for writing the obvious. You know good culture === coasting? Same as Microsoft, now culture is not good, because in Azure folks are getting pushed to work!
Avgo is not VMware, we actually work hard to get high pay, I assume VMware will push the stock price down with the time, if their revenue per employee stays so bad.
