To fill a script at Walgreens? CVS is nearly always same or next day. What has happened the the Pharmacy America Trusts?? Stores look horrible and are barely maintained. Shelves are barely stocked.AND the thing they did best (fill scripts) is a complete train wreck. Tim, Tracey, Neil, what are you doing, seriously???? AI technologies and worthless WNBA sponsorships won't matter if there are NO customers!!! This company has got to get back to the basics....it's broken.

One more reason the entire Board must go. No vision, no strategy, and no "reaction" when required. They simply sit in their virtual chairs and pat themselves on the back. Fire them all!

I work for Walgreens and manage meds for myself and an elderly parent and still have trouble getting prescriptions filled in a reasonable amount of time. I'm pro-active and order in advance and common medications are still delayed due to being out-of-stock. If I don't "baby-sit" the status of my meds, they're often cancelled until I either go in person to the pharmacy or resubmit on my own. I would use a non-chain pharmacy if I could. The blame falls squarely on leadership for failing to staff our pharmacies properly. Instead we rely on ideas that sound good on paper but fail in actual practice like MFC. MFC requires re-training our customers to accept even poorer service than they've been experiencing these past few years at Walgreens. The pharmacy staff does their best but without support from the company, we are set up to fail.
Again, where has the Board been? MFC is ki-ling Walgreens. Customer service has plummeted. Come on leadership team, Pay attention!! Visit a store and instead of dancing (Tracey Brown), pay attention!! The pharmacists and Pharmacy techs are getting crushed!!!!
Lean over the counter and take a peak at the stack of leaflets on the counter that need to be filled.
I believe for every $1 we used to get to fill a prescription twenty years ago, we now get 10 cents.
I was just complaining about them. Plan to get another pharmacy asap. Took two Rxs in for refills the past month and have to wait 3 weeks for full order while they dole out 10 pills to tide me over. Generic widely used meds. Pharmacy sux now.
MFC was always a cost cutting measure. Even though we have been told time after time that hours would not be cut but all of a sudden we had the most drastic labor cuts at store level. I have been hearing for years that Amazon was going to ki-l Walgreens it simply hasn’t happened because the people who get the most scripts won’t use Amazon and there are more legal issues that Amazon has not been able to work around. Whether that will happen or not at some point we will see.
With MFC, you can't get your prescription on the day its ordered so what's the point of a brick and mortar store? I would expect Amazon could, in the not-so-distant future, deliver faster to your home rather than waiting for Walgreens.
They have spent billions on MFC they can’t go back now too much money has been spent on this.
