Dave Calhoun - Boeing Senate Hearings!

If you lived under the DC regime, I urge you to watch his testimony today in front of the US Senate on CSPAN. This GE hack, Jack Welch cultist, came to Nielsen circa 2006 and GUTTED THE COMPANY via outsourcing for its eventual IPO where he made tens of millions. This guy ruined lives at Nielsen, decimated a once proud culture and inserted policies that made day to day work living he-l for many. Remember Top/Bottom 10% anyone? I sat in a town hall in NYC when he took over and just knew in my gut this guy was bad news. I was right. Anyone that would attach themselves to a thug like Mitchell Habib had to be, I said. Brian West, CFO, wasn't much better. Sen Josh Hawley called him out directly on his actions in the C suite, which is to cut corners by outsourcing to less qualified employees overseas, overload existing American employees with responsibilities and pay them less and less and less all in the name of a better stock price! The look at Calhoun's face was priceless. So for all of you Nielsen OG's from way back when, today we got some justice. Calhoun may even face federal crimes. As for you hacks that defended his ways, shame on you! We know who you are.

I got lots of calls and text’s yesterday Audio fired a bunch of people with no severance and no outreach programs to get new work. Just basically let go and thanked for their service
Best of luck

DC, representing Blackstone EQ, did make the Nielsen ‘bottom line’ profitable, yet by replacing large numbers of very qualified/experienced employees with ‘less expensive VISA’ contractors. During such, Nielsen was forced to return some tax incentives provided to them, granted when VNU purchased the operations and built a new large campus in Oldsmar, Florida. This likely due to ~30% of Oldsmar employees loosing their jobs to TCS (TATA). Calhoun, and co-spirators, have the routine down… get a foot in the door, outsource knowledge to TCS, and then run when things fall apart. D.Calhoun DID NOT save Nielsen! … 45yr NMR veteran (I survived DC, and MH!!)

What goes around comes around! He got his just desserts for what he did to people. He ruined a once reputable company.

I believe Calhoun still has a piece of the company or influence at the director level. Not sure. That aside, he's the one that literally kick started the ongoing mass layoffs at Nielsen 15 years ago. Everything happening today is a direct result of his failed leadership. Nielsen's measurement, which was always the core biz, is failing because of his short sightedness and greed. Ok Num Nutz?

Attention on the Boeing Starliner crew - stuck on ISS due to faulty helium leaks and faulty thrusters. Hoping that the return flight has a good ending.

Nielsen would have shrivelled up and broken apart? Lol. That's exactly what happened after he destroyed the place. The "buys" side AC Nielsen biz was sold off, as were many other piece of the company like IAG. History has proven that instead of gutting much of the company for a IPO, they should have been investing in ways to measure what we all now call streaming. Calhoun had no clue. It was comical at the time watching him on CNBC sometimes trying to discuss the future of TV measurement or "over the top" as he was told by someone to call it, cause he had no clue what it meant.

I’d defend DC for his Nielsen time. Nielsen would have shrivelled up and been broken apart without the intervention at the time. Now, actions at Boeing are beyond excuse and what may work in a data biz cannot be the same shill when lives were at stake. West is the CFo. Plus, it’s not all about Americans.
