I’ve been working here for a long time. Witnessing irrevocable decline for the past few years has been a very sad affair. I didn’t have it in me to leave before for all kinds of reasons - most of them of private and financial nature. I managed to push through most of my bad times, and now I am on solid enough ground to cut ties and try something new before this place comes to a definite end. To all of you who have been looking to have a career here - start thinking about other jobs.

Is there anyone aware what’s going on with the support contract for onsite Tech with NCR? A good source tells me it is now on a monthly basis. Will they be eventually released from support or is Macys Tech looking at an alternative? I’m sure they are looking at other options to save on cost.
Are they holding them to complete the new small format store openings and other projects?
No careers here anymore, just jobs. Macy's is a great place to get your two years of management experience and then quickly more onto a more stable and growing company. Nobody plans a career in a company that is clearly in decline with regular reorganizations that always result in the elimination of jobs and the closure of more stores.
Wheres the leadership and HR integrity. At all the levels they will cheat and lie to make themselves look good or make them be right and they know HR is there to cover their backs. Very sad way to run a company.
I cut times about 3 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did after being there for 10 years. So many have left since then and some of my former colleagues that are still there are miserable and looking to leave. So if you can get out, do it. You will be happier in the end.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I agree and would have left sooner myself if not for certain factors. I laugh when I see the company display Interns who are working here for the summer months. Run away you can find something better. Same with that ridiculous NCR company that supports our Technology. The Tech that supports our site is very unhappy as well and describes what a mess that company is.
I'm hanging on by a thread after 15 years here. The moral is the lowest that I've ever seen it.
I too quit (in corporate) the enviroment literally broke me down mentally & physically.
I do own my personal/emotional reaction to others behaviors and allowed it to consume me, but everything was a constant cluster hamster wheel.
Macys wont" poof "go away if it gets bought but there is a cyclone of scared flinstone stone feet & no common sense what so ever. For a billion $ company it is absolutely baffling how upper managenent operates. Trickle down effect of mess hence stores are struggling.
about time someone sp-t out the kool aid and smelled the coffee
So true and well said
