It’s coming and this will be unprecedented by CBRE. The restructuring obviously started with the removal of their GWS president but will continue from now until the end of the year. CBRE FM/Engineering and multiple lines of business to be impacted. Just look at their smart FM platform the removal of their global lead.

Just heard of a GWS marketing person with 20 years tenure and impeccable talent was laid off last week. I wonder if there's more coming?
John D (and Chandra) have run GWS into the ground. Never seen an org so mismanaged with poor decision making and inept staffing. For PM, it will be difficult to undo the damage Chandra caused. I think they have given-up on running PM and moved everything under T/T now. And Bob S has just become our "Biden"...watching all the poor decisions being made. I've given 20+ years to CB and it's so disappointing watching all this happen. So many euros coming to positions which they truly don't understand.
Probably time to start looking

That management style is very outdated. It's surprising that some organizations still ghost people and remain silent about it. I hope those leaders never have to experience the same treatment and wish them the best of luck.
I was laid off end of June 2024 due to cost cutting/ job elimination in Advisory marketing. Completely blindsided. My manager kept saying our team was safe. She lied. I know of at least 25 other people in similar laid off the same day including a few in Property Management. What bothered me the most was how quiet leadership was about the layoffs. Nobody knew and it was obvious they wanted to keep it a secret to maintain the fascade of everything is peachy peeps. I felt erased. Severance was 1 week salary for every year of service, any PTO balance paid out.
I wish they would be more transparent about what is happening. Not talking about it is causing employees to talk amongst themselves and it’s creating a lot of discontent, stress, anger and fear. It’s shortsighted to not understand the impacts this can have on morale and productivity and telling employees to “not let it distract” their work is insulting. Good or bad, we all just want to understand what’s happening at the company where we work! Having a little trust and respect for employees would go a long way.
Is it possible to be more specific on which areas will be impacted
The storm is approaching more quickly than anticipated, with multiple sources confirming it will arrive by the end of July.
Things are being outsourced for cheap labor, RISE values what?!
Well.. CBRE did have a major data breach a couple of days ago too. They literally let a kid that was a manager of an auto parts store just a couple of years ago setup their ENTIRE SMARTFM platform. It is, without a doubt, the worst architecture I've ever seen. Services crashing all the time. UX has no clue how react works, he just likes to hear himself talk. Even frontend devs from contractor companies didn't know how react worked. Major re-rendering. The backend is a mess. Everything piled up in one file like a 13 year old. I am still here, but not saying a single thing. They laid off a person that brought all of this up multiple times about a month ago. Story goes, he would slam the entire platform all the time. Warn that keys would leak. Warned that the Principal was too green and was "faking it, till he made it". Warned that the node servers would destroy profits due to mismanaged memory leaks.... That guy has some nuts to go against a wheel like CBRE. I am going to hang on as much as a I can while I job shop. This whole thing is crashing hard. It's literally a wildfire everyday.
Quality hit hard in Life Sciences. Entire team given the boot and these are top notch, skilled employees. No job is safe. All to line pockets, cover up poor financial decisions, and make the stockholders happy. Thanks greedy CBRE
