Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

The ACP “Free Internet” Has Ended for Now

Due to a lack of additional funding from Congress, the Affordable Connectivity Program has ended for now. Effective June 1, 2024, households will no longer receive an ACP discount.
ACP enrolled households are strongly encouraged to carefully review written notices from their internet company and from the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), the ACP administrator, about the end of ACP.
Households are also encouraged to consult their internet company to learn more about how the end of the ACP will impact their internet service and bill.
My BOSS says FTR is in deep cr-p! Mass disconnects coming on the Fiber side!!!!! Force realignments to follow!!!!!!!

BAD NEWS FOR LOW SENIORITY AND LOW PRODUCING LEVEL 1 SUPERVISORS

I suspect Southern California will get hit the hardest by this. I mean don’t have to be a genius to understand why.

Complete nonsense. Frontier has a low exposure to ACP - read the earnings statements........

Yes the ACP program has been discontinued BUT for all ISPs. You delusional to think its going to cause a mass drop in subscriber base as al households need internet and most areas have 1 or 2 viable options
