Stonks only go up! Thanks RocketMan
I switched from Sr Manager to IC role at acquisition. Same job level, same RSUs, and a better career trajectory.
First payout for mgmt was pretty damn good. Outsiders and naysayers know $!!!T
Speak for yourself not for others. I quite like Mandos way!
F’k Mando, don’t upvote your own posts and don’t pretend to be a 3rd person.
RSUs looks nice, but 85% of folks here won't get what is promised. Don't be fool, this package assumes revenue per employee from VMware will be the same as BC's, is it? If not, don't expect charity. Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.
Mando loves RSUs....
This is the way!!
Guess what?? F’koff Mando.
This is the way!!
You're better off as an IC, you got the same RSUs as a manager at your grade level. VMW R&D management was downleveled twice in the past few years, first time by grade level a few months before the acquisition was announced and 2nd time by title after acquisition closed. Managers (M3), Senior Managers (M4) and many directors (M5) were converted to IC and told they were expected to manage and code when BC acquired VMW, so more workload for the same or less comp. Directors, Sr Directors and VPs got a 20% base cut. BC is flattening and will continue to flatten the layers so every remaining manager will end up with double digit direct reports.
You would have been laid off like the half of management that we lost...
I just wish they would have kept the better managers instead of the sh---y ones they chose to keep...
