I heard of 3 layoffs. September, November and first quarter in 2025! I don't know what to say but Enbridge but it is a sinking ship! They don't care about their employees, they don't care about safety, they don't care about anything but profiT!!! Very sad, when I was hired the culture was you can retire at Enbridridge.. Now they just bait you, and discard you as a worthless person. Look at the news from the union in Ontario, laying off more employees that do emergency work! So sad........

Well it looks like you were wrong about September layoffs as were a number of commenters/guessers on here. Maybe you’ll be 2 for 3, but I doubt even that, tbh.

Have exactly same feeling Enb will be sold to USA close all dooors in CAN soon.. worked for company like that before they kept a skeleton staff in CAN only. Never worked for a company with so many secrets and they call themselves honest company wow...
Low preformances would ask a question about that: have tou asle you PL to learn amd develope more, if yes and he/she never took care of that part , low preformance is not a lay off reason, careful with that. If you do bare minimum without any effort to learn more or do more or not showing upnas need to sure I call that a low performance.
I was laid off despite always scoring above average in my performance reviews. It's not about performance, more about whether they can replace you cheaply.
The last post is true, I am seeing and hearing its a blood path! People all over being fired for stupid reasons! they are now letting people go for low performance.. not showing up in their office, lame excuses.. I have never seen so many people let go for low performance! All I can say I am doing EVERYTHING to get out of Enbridge, it has become a nightmare to work with this company. I spoke with my manager and all he/they/she/it can say is everything is wonderful working at enbridge! LOL
I hate layoffs as much as the next guy but that last post was so bad it almost makes me wonder if it was sarcasm. Are you telling me that a company shouldn’t get rid of its employees for poor performance? Employees need to be capable of performing their job to a certain standard. If they aren’t capable they need to be removed from that job, period. Sorry if reality is a bit too harsh for you.
In my area non stop layoffs WRONG!! they are now letting people go for low performance.. not showing up in there office, lame excuses.. I have never seen so many people let go go for low performance in my 25 years at ba-f enbridge.
November is comming......
Spew enough dates out there and odds are someday you'll be right. That doesn't mean your prediction was good. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Don’t be scared, let it happen. Best thing that ever happened to me. Financially you will get a severance. Let’s face it- you guys are all dead-ended at this monotonous job anyways.
If most of yall would get out and look around these compressor and pump stations- you will see and think “ why are several thousands of us sitting in offices to support only like 2-3 ppl out here doing nothing.
The layoffs will hit LEG and LUG in 1 or more of the 3 realms of layoff. It is inevitable for more people who need to be gone.
In Ontario using Lakeside is only to save money.
The poor quality of work is ridiculous.
The day will come.
I'd be nervous if I was Canadian. If you look at the writing on the wall - look at what TC did with Southbow spinning off and moving liquids pipeline headquarters to Houston - what's to say Enbridge won't spin off their US assets into a US-based and headquartered business on the gas or liquids side. Would probably save investors on operating costs/taxes and help the company to be more competitive with their US-based peers. Would also cut a lot of bloat - just being frank - and would allow for more locally-based and fit for purpose decision making. Calgary doesn't have the best track record for decision making nor efficiency.
The quality of work is suffering immensely.
We are sending Lakeside back to calls more than 3 times sometimes because they are not doing the work properly.
The have definitely been close to having MAJOR incidents, and I can tell you that with certainty.
Customers are going to get hurt or ki-led.
It's completely IRRESPONSIBLE!
