Thread regarding Neiman Marcus Group layoffs

What's the phrase? Intellectually Honest? If so - we need a new leader or to be sold. A brief recap of the past few quarters-

Farfetch implodes. BG online business again has to start over. Seven years of empty promises from CEO and BG President on BG online. Chaos around the BG leadership table. But Cheryl gets promoted anyway to an even bigger position.
Two layoffs and our CEO proclaims his commitment to using data and focusing on customers. After seven years with the company.
Discrimination charges at senior level by CEO investigated by outside firm.
ESG progress is cited as a major win. And it's a nice distraction from the real world.
Financial results are not known or spun beyond belief.
But we know revenue and EBITDA numbers have dropped.
WWD, BOF and DMN serve as extended public relations office.
CEO establishes work from anywhere so he can move to NYC. Still unclear who paid for his moving expenses.
CEO goes on TV to say that business doesn't need to be sold. But it appears it does.
CEO does get a lot of press for writing thank you notes. But not delivering.
CEO says we will soon be in a profitable - after two more years in the role. It's called the bridge to nowhere.
Board again uses the let's be quiet and sell this as soon as we can strategy.
After years of self promotion the company has gone quiet which fuels speculation.
Transparency and honesty remain elusive.
Yes, quite the year. Quite the leadership.

Sapient should get a gold medal at this game. They are using Darcy as their chess piece. Wonder how much kick back these guys are giving.
These guys are snakes. They take info from one leader and twist it and play it to another leader and watch the game unfold. Very good in capitalizing on weak leaders to their benefit.

Expenses to be controlled -how much money has been spent on consultants in the last year? two years? five years? And the results never came.

Worth repeating: Our boat has no captain. Another way of saying incompetence reigns. He spends enough time there to know there's issues. If he ever engaged that is. Being in an office means nothing if you never come out and talk to people. Darcy and CEO have been there the longest yet have accomplished the least.

Glad to see someone else has the same view point on BG leadership (Cheryl especially).
Blows my mind that she is still around. Must be all the ppts and talking points that sapient is supplying to her.
