You have to report if you are trading.
seems it depends project you may be in.
if you have access to sensitive information then , you have report or otherwise repercussion will be not good..
Laws are strict for insider trading.

No they don’t ban trading for employees. As the other commenter said, you can’t do speculative trades on schwab stock. You can buy the stock but can’t do options (I think?) or short positions. You can pretty much do everything a normal customer would be able to do.
Where you can get in trouble is if you are constantly in margin calls in your account as an employee. I’m not sure how they discipline you but I think they will tell you to knock it off.

You are required to keep your securities with Schwab and you can't make speculative trades on SCHW and the obvious no insider trading on SCHW. Those are the only restrictions I am aware of.
