Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Anyone else noticing?

I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, but I have noticed my leadership becoming real distant. You can feel something is going on.

I've been applying. Being in my mid 50's...getting another job is prob not going to happen.

My CTM is the d-mbest person I have ever worked for. All she does is micromanage. She does not have one brain cell capable of critical thinking. She is like a parrot and I keep thinking what does she actually do besides micromanage and come up with tasks that do not add value. I can relate to people being fed up with how management has been treating staff.

My whole team once was asked to work alongside a sister team and train them to do our work so that there could be more cross training across the organization, but when I brought up that we were not learning their work as well, I was told I was paranoid. A few months later my entire team was RIF’d.
If it seems suspicious, trust your gut.

Yep manager requested all work be documented and stated it is a project. Another lie. Said it was a time study. Another one? Boy there should be a Pinocchio gage and every time they talk it nose should get longer or remain the same.

Some of the navi HH CTMs are the worst I’ve seen. Do you know for a fact that the one you are referring to is going to get booted? Just curious how people find these things out!

Navihealth started micromanaging when they became more acclimated to optum. The home health CTMs are so stupid that the one immediately started giving out CAPS thinking it would save her job. Haha she is on list to go! The most inexperienced inept and truly fake CTMs I've ever come across. Always looking for the next mistake..as if they don't make any. Getting rid of the hh ctms will be our biggest joy. I'm sick of writing down what I do and trying to be perfect. I hate my ctm who truly does not like ones who are a different color than her dark skin. She is horrible I hope higher ups see this and term her faster than July. She's making our lives miserable sister you ain't all that

Everyone seems to be quiet quitting, doing bare minimum, and completely checked out.

Not to worry with the documentation. It will end up on some sharepoint lost in the cloud when the deck chairs rearrange once again. Slow walk it they dont know about the unknown unknowns. Offshore never has and never will read the cookbook

Like documenting what you've done for your resume?

Or if you're talking about documenting your process for handing it off to an AI, Artificial Intelligence or An Indian, drag your feet and give them the bare minimum information required. If leadership chooses to circular file decades of institutional knowledge, it's not your job as the worker bee to try and remediate the incoming damage from their chosen course of action.

Give them the mechanical instructions, offer no analytical guidance. I'm sure the people they are replacing you with are very intelligent, educated, experienced and qualified for the role.

Anyone else going through the process of documenting all their work? Feeling sick.

I was just thinking about this. They have not been responsive the last few weeks and it’s really weird. They don’t readily answer in our teams group chat anymore. Something is brewing…

Drop the term "leadership." They don't deserve that title.
