Thread regarding Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc. ADS layoffs

I have a basic doubt, it will be helpful if someone clear it please. So I am avp,reporting to a vp.he reports to a svp->director->md->md->md->MW->J. This is the structure now, in 2023 sep I was reporting to a SVP,re-org made him IC, director brought another svp from his reporting line and made us report him and new svp made 1 vp (from his team) lead and made us report to the vp. In the reporting line 1 md was let go,a new one joined in his place. My doubt is where the he-l the level has reduced here??? Sorry for a long post.
