Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

New BTC KPI

With BTC focus on moving staff employee jobs to India, shifting to moving engineering contracts to India, and then moving procurement to India, and also moving construction to India, the new KPI should be how many Executives and Board Members sourced in India.

Target 100%

EM has already set a path of becoming an Indian company. Transitioning jobs to India well underway.

I guarantee you that there is no plan to transition the CEO, CFO, Corp VPs, and Presidents to India.

Also no plan to reduce the Executives in USA via the PIP annual layoffs.

There are board members in India. It has corporate separate companies and they have all the Indians on those boards

Most of those Executives would like to be “let go” because they have paid each other million$ and are just waiting to be told their end date.

MBAs and executives are fungible. All the MSPs out of India have rotating executives and they pretty much run the work they are doing for EM. It’s just a bit of a step to start moving EM executive positions to India. The talent pool is global and EM could easily fill those roles and have them work out of Bangalore. Houston is overpriced for executives with little return and value (if any).

As an aside, I was searching for a contact on the CC org chart and I found one L4 who had one direct report (his peers had 10 or more) and his direct report had about 10. If ever there were a blatant example of fat in middle management (figuratively and literally) this was it. Cut that fat, send both the L4 and L5 managers’ positions to India and send signals to these guys to finally retire. We do this all the time with all other positions, executives should be no different.

EM should have sourced its new CFO in India. Just her signing bonus would be 100 years of Indian pay, including annual bonuses.

An Executive in India would cost less than an Admin in USA, and be more effective.

Executives need to feel the pressure of their jobs getting moved to BTC and be subjected to potential PIP every year even if they performed very well.

Makes sense. Pure capitalism involved. The work isn’t rocket science and is all age old technologies. Most jobs should move to BTC.
