GPI cut 8 plant managers and a couple of regional directors this year. Any plant managers who had done so well that their plants could basically run on 'auto-pilot' were cut and someone who could be paid less was put in their position. GPI has a goal to have 40% of their leadership be female -- which is great - except they laid off men in order to put women in their positions and pay them less.

Graphic packaging in Hamel Minnesota just laid off 15 people. Five of them were laid off wrongfully including myself. The union is fighting for our jobs but the new plant manager we got is all behind this. So I was directly affected by a stupid plant manager getting paid less money. The new plant manager is 31 years old and has bad teeth. Graphic packaging must definitely be paying their management less money.
Do you have any more insight?
I'm witnessing this exact change in my plant right now.
What else can I expect?
Things have been getting weird to say the least.
