This guy….want to bet?
CL26: $186k
@1rha+1sxEOqoy. Ain't no way you making that at a CL 25. What business line you work in? Brown nose delivery? lol.
CL 25. 202k
CL 25, 165k
You're correct @1avd+1sxEOqoy.
EM adjusted the curves so they are not as big as they use to be or the overlap isn't as broad as it use to be.
CL 25
$150K
I think it’s dependent on the organization. I don’t believe a CL 25 engineer will be making the same as someone in HR or in controllers. I am a CL 25 in controllers making just north of $120k. I know a couple CL 26s making $150k. We do have 3 salary curves in the US. I assumed (and someone please correct me if I’m wrong) that the ranges will differ for the same CLs on the different curves.
Don't forget, the bands change every year due to "raises."
What's the CL 26 range for EMTEC?
Previous response is accurate. CL27 salary is north of $200k
I think CL 25-26 is about $130K -$190K
Yes, the salary curves overlap so you can be at the high end of CL 25 and make more money than soembody on the lower end of CL 26.
Yes, you can be at a lower CL and be making more than the next CL group especially for the jump from CL-27 to CL-28.
The CL-28/29 group is a much more competitive group if you are technical because you will be ranked against department heads, directors, section heads.... etc. Technical at CL-28 means you will always be in the bottom third.
It is best to stay at CL-27 if you are technical and you will probably be the top 1/3 which means that your raises will be higher each year.
As one technical person said about 15 years ago, "I cannot afford to be promoted to CL-28 because I will make less money over the next five years."
