Thread regarding BNSF Railway layoffs

Management might as well all be wearing clown noses

They keep peddling the same BS everyday. Get your productivity up or dirty Demond and the boys are gonna furlough your a-s! The whole CIR program is a complete f’ing joke. The damn thing doesn’t even quantify our inspection and repair times correctly. It was set up for us to fail by using false numbers to justify mass furloughs and make them look better from any blowback from the FRA/Congress.

CIR is a half baked version of MEMS. The smooth brained managers in charge of designing it were “moved” to greener pastures after its implementation. Heard LA really loves one of them.

CIR is just a rehash of an old system they got rid of 12ish years ago when actual railroaders got in charge. Now it's tech id--ts who have never done the work.

Non billable repairs don't count as productive time? Apparently SOC an entire side ladder isn't worth anything. Or tightening bolts on handholds on outbound trains.
This place is a fùcking joke.

Corporate overlords and investors are su-king the last few drops out of the golden orange teate of BNSF. Maximize profit before BRK sells her off to the highest bidder. The new owner will be left holding a bag of cr-p and will ask for a bailout from the government. Too big to fail.
