Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Voyix

How is everyone liking working for Voyix after the split? Voyix side got all the newbie or not wanted people, got kicked out of the offices/sheds, and will not hire anyone, meanwhile Atleos employees kept all the talent/bosses friends/supporters and close a couple calls a day without having to do any Walmart or retail. I suspect Voyix side is not happy.

Update: Not part of the RIF, so far. Kind of disappointed. I don't know of anyone in my area that was either but dang, Voyix folks are shook right now.

Situations exactly like these are why I doubled down on my savings 15 years ago or whatever it was.

On 6/4, I and four others that I know of were let go in SMB support - two in West, two in AET, and one in Central.

On Tuesday there were 10 CEs and a TM let go in the NY, New England area. I see there is a reorganization of the regions so looks to be consolidation. If anyone knows of more people than this please comment. I do not trust anyone in Management in Voyix. Also heard that possibly Atleos had cuts as well but need confirmation. More confused than ever as to the going forward plan for this company.

I don’t think a sale of Voyix is in the cards. Senior management couldn’t find a buyer when the company was whole, so what’s attractive of this half? It’s probably more likely they outsource to a low cost technology provider like Infosys or Wipro.

But don't you want to do scissor lift and cabling calls now though?! Lol.

This post pretty much sounds exactly like my area. The lying and two faced TM that ended up at Atleos took all of his favorites and su-k up sycophants with him. What a surprise. He claimed that they "didn't have a choice" who went where but then let slip later that they were sent a list proposing where everyone would go post split, the TMs were able to make changes as they saw fit, and then sent the list back up the ladder. That whole thing about claiming not to want to lose people and they'll let people switch sides was a sham. Did anyone hear of anyone actually successfully switching sides? I only know of one instance of a guy trying to tag along to Atleos but was denied. Everyone else that couldn't take it just quit and none have been replaced. Not that my new local TM hasn't tried. (local.. lol. He's even farther away then the last one. I'm going to see how many years I can go without seeing him in person.) The requisitions were shutdown higher up the ladder.

To be fair though, it's not all rosey over at Atleos. They're losing sheds/offices on their side too. Maybe just not right away in all areas due to various reasons. Some of the Atleos techs aren't exactly sleeping easy either. Sure it was nice to have easy days where you didn't get many calls when we were all one big NCR because in the end, we had a ton of customers. Now, not as much. At least in my geography. Some of those Atleos techs are worried about their own RIFs. All it takes is one big customer loss and heads will roll. Whereas we could absorb that before. Sounds like they're already really sensitive about making sure that Voyix isn't doing any of the work that Atleos might be contractually obligated to do instead, since there's still some overlap for some customers. Yeah well, what they don't know won't hurt 'em. I'm going to do what I have to do to get home for dinner on time. I just won't detail it in the notes. :) Anyway, sc--w them. I'm actually fine with being apart. Most of the techs over there are douches (see above: su-k up sycophants). I'm going to have a post split celebration this summer. lol.

But yes, the Voyix side is definitely no where near great. Even the latest Voyix webcast acknowledged this fact when they pointed out that the CE employee engagement survey results were lower than everyone else. The synopsis of the management response: we really, really care about our CEs, we really do. Honest. But their employee surveys scores are always cr-p. What are we supposed to do about it now?

It's still too early to say how things on Voyix will shake out, short of them getting bought up. I just take it one call at a time, my friends. That's all you can do. If it ends up taking all day to do a couple of calls, I'm definitely not worried about it. Oh, FSC is calling... (side rant: Jesus Christ, stop calling me for every little thing.Especially anytime I get a type 1 task or certain customers, it's an instant phone call. I just ignore them a ton now. Is that what management wants? No surprise, Atleos got the good dispatchers. The few that existed anyway. ) Oh, I have to back track an hour to go do a stupid Starbucks call because of the penalties? Lol. Fine with me. There goes a big part of my day. Now I can stop at home for lunch too. Bonus \m/

I've been through various RIF and restructuring roller coasters with this company now. Nothing happened those times but it did lead me into starting to prepare on my end many, many years ago... just in case. So now if I did get RIF'd now, I'd welcome it in multiple ways.

Ever heard of FIRE? That's me. So go ahead Voyix, RIF me, let me FIRE even earlier!

Voyix has not been fun to work for. If they sell then so be it. I could use a break and get a new job and collect unemployment in between. Atleos definitely seems to have gotten the better of the split with the exception of having to do network calls. Afraid to see who the new owner would be. These transitions buyouts do not work out for the better most of the time.

I think the point is Voyix will be sold asap now, hard to believe anyone would not see the master plan, it’s taken a couple years, but it’s going to happen in 2024. Maybe get laid off, maybe get hired by the new owner? If you still don’t see that Voyix is going away, your really not paying attention.
