Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

How many H1B and contractors were let go?

Probably not many. Walmart would rather keep the thousands of foreign H1B workers and contractors from India than keep the US workers. It’s not hard to understand, just look at who’s in leadership positions and it becomes quite clear.

Unfortunately, whereas Walmart used to be proud of its US workforce in Bentonville, with the proliferation of the Indian “consulting” now infesting more than just the old floors of ISD, it’s way too far gone to save. Many, like myself, just left, couldn’t stand to see what was happening. I think Doug has good intentions with the company, but the old ‘Esprit de Corps’ is gone, and, many gold and silver badges are just counting days before they can bail. It’s rampant. You hear whispers. But you can’t discuss it openly because there’s so much Indian influence.

I left. Got a better big. I’m much happier now, have more family time and actually have medical benefits that are good. I don’t have to select which of my associates I have to sc--w over at eval time and I don’t have to worry about my sr director threatening me with my job if I don’t sink my knees when he speaks.

All the layoffs are to make more room for H1Bs. The cruelty is the point. By all means sink the ship. The smart rats already jumped ship long back due to the smell of perpetual death-fa-t-breath coders.

Walmart has a huge initiative to source billions of dollars in goods from India. They believe India is going to be the next big economic power and have the next big middle class and Walmart wants a piece of that market. The American market and middle class is on the decline, so Walmart will milk Walmart US for resources to ingratiate themselves to foreign customers.
And they’re hiring and sourcing big time from that region at the expense of American jobs. And it’s not just manufacturing jobs, it’s management jobs they’re sending to India as well.

Amazon is no better. If you can afford it, spend your money on American goods made by companies that are pro-America.

Ah, yes, it's me, the maestro of debt, outsourcing, and aviation mishaps. Who wouldn't want someone who transformed AT&T into a debt colossus and advised Boeing on grounded flights? Walmart clearly saw my 'unique' talents and thought, 'Perfect fit!' No need for thorough resume checks with my stellar track record. Buckle up, Walmart, it's going to be quite the ride!

One such leader on wal marts board of directors is Randall Stephenson. He was also on the board at Boeing which can’t make an airplane fly safely anymore due to the outsourcing there. Moreover Randall Stephenson gutted thousands of American jobs to India during his tenure at AT&T while steering that company to the most in debted company in the world. Can’t Walmart hire any better than this ? Did they not check his resume more thoroughly ?
