Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Blue Cross ending contract soon with NaviHealth so will others like HAP and Humana be next and how many more will they cut??

So it’s been confirmed about BC. I was surprised and shocked to find out that Blue Cross is not renewing. What I am now wondering is, are others going to follow? How are they going to handle the loss? What positions will they cut next? I just don’t see them keeping us. Any idea who Blue Cross will go with?

Rumor is that there is a good chance Health Alliance Plan (HAP) won’t be staying with NaviHealth/Optum. Way too many issues staying with them at this point and it’s best to cut ties before things get worse. You’ll see once their contract ends they won’t renew.

These are the same games they were up to when they had the Ingenix brand. Just change the name and colors to Optum start the game over. Every large company constantly under investigation nothing ever happens maybe a fine / slap on the wrist no admission of guilt on to the next game plan. All the investigators just getting visibility since election year then it will all go quiet again

There is also a class action lawsuit against NaviHealth for using AI to deny seniors nursing home coverage. Don’t see many insurance companies wanting to be associated with a company that treats seniors this way.

Right now there are soooo many investigations going on against UHC/ Optum. From manipulating the risk scores so Medicare could pay them more (not sure why those on the front lines help them do their dirty work) to Navitas using AI bots to deny services to hospice using a palliative pathway to encourage those with terminal illness to head toward the light and giving those involved a bonus. The list goes on and on. Would any company want to be associated with these people.

Got up to look at these posts and now I don’t have the motivation to do anything. What’s the point? If they are getting rid of us anyway. This company blows. NaviHealth becoming part of Optum has led to nothing good. I would not be surprised if they dissolve the whole department.

Preservice IS making it so miserable so people quit. Don’t let them drive you out. They need to thin the herd, hoping we get so fed up we quit. They will NEVER make me quit. Lay me off and pay and make that unemployment insurance go up for them. Momma didn’t raise a dummy. Do your worst. I am NOT budging!

My CTM is so full of it! Always making up cr-p, how Blue Cross kisses our butts and loves the job we do. I should have smelled the BS. I don’t think she even had a clue but to pretend to be in the know all this time just goes to show you the type of people these CTM’s are. No real thinking, yes people till the end. No wonder this company went downhill. Can’t wait to leave once I find a better gig.
