Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Who is on first?

why does it seems that the answer is nobody
why is it that nobody seems to know the plan going forward
is it a

  1. reflection of the new leadership

2 failure to communicate
3 still figuring it out
you talk about "n75" but no one seems to know the plan for the next 75 DAYS

The union gas group will be thinned out this time - unfortunately to much management

Layoffs in Ontario are inevitable before year end. There is not enough money in GDS to buy a pencil.
Cut 10% and let some put up their hand to pick me.
Then we can buy a whole box of pencils.

The word I heard was Gas Distribution layoffs round 2 will be about 10% reductions, not sure if just Ontario (west) or all 4 utilities involved in layoff(eventually all all 4 will be amalgamated if possible-makes sense from a business point)
Anything unregulated will be combined for sure.
The people from Head Office have been taking up more key roles recently in Gas Distribution, and will now be making the organizational decisions on this layoff.

Winter is coming!
(Actually, I hear the next round will be in November of this year.)
GE has to do whatever is necessary to max out his bonus!
I'm sure if you're laid off, you'll understand.........

Any further layoffs won't be significant enough to matter for the purposes of fiscal year end. Only mass layoffs would move the needle.

will the layoffs happen before or after fiscal year end?

Also remember that Enbridge agreed not to lay off anyone from the three companies that were acquired for a full 2 years, so any redundancies will have to come from legacy Enbridge employees.
Will the last one out please turn off the lights........

Some more streamlining which translates to more layoffs. Remember enbridge bought 3 companies and the transactions were not fully closed before the layoffs earlier this year. And there are some more efficiencies that can be achieved with enbridge expensive manpower.
