Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

Having Trouble Finding Remote Work

I used to work in the ROC in Oldsmar FL before being laid off in November. I’m having trouble finding a decent remote work at home job. Does anyone have any suggestions or adviceHas anyone else found the post Nielsen job hunt as challenging as I have?

Keep your head up. Many companies are currently hiring for customer service representative positions, so make sure to actively search for them. This would also be a good time to review your skillset and explore any available training opportunities that could help you secure employment in a different field. Best of luck to you.

there were so many talented people working in the call centers, but without these jobs I am afraid the ones left will be homeless in a matter of months . what skills do they have? calling people late at night and asking to surveys .theses TL's are greedy and trying to push for the last few dollars they will see as a decent pay check . most of them are left over call center reps that stayed on with nielsen and just got chosen to be a TL because there wasn't anyone left with any brains that knew it was a dead end job.

I cannot believe how stupid you people are. You are being laid off if you haven't been already because nobody can afford anything so they are offshoring for cheap labor, you are being actively gaslit and you STILL don't like somebody calling a spade, a spade.

LOLLL, what a bunch of mo--ns.

The are just gaslighting you because because they are afraid of people running amok. Someone read the CIA handbook on firing people....

Sad truth is calling people on the phone and harassing them about their remote control or reading from a script to get some questions answered doesn't transfer to much of anything outside of Nielsen, other than a call center somewhere else, which is typically just another cr-ppy job with low pay and quick burnout.

All low skill work, which is why it was the first to go to Mexico. And with remote work becoming more of a rarity and highly competitive you will be lucky to find any, especially with no transferrable skills or specialized higher level degree.

I found a decent job after I was laid off in march .. but I attended atleast 30 interviews simultaneously and believe me the interviewing trend now is “you are an id--t and don’t fit for the role and now prove me wrong!!” Don’t lose hope . I found it within a month and I am sure you will find one too. All the best!

To the person that 'didn't like' "Building back better, duh!

Haven't you seen the jobs report, the economy is doing great according to this administration! (no gaslighting there. not at all.)"

Tell me; why? Nothing I said was untrue. Our economy is terrible at best and this administration is gaslighting you. So why? Are you that much of an ideologue that you are trying to pretend that everything I said isn't ACTUALLY HAPPENING IN REALITY. The place where most of us live, and can't pay our bills.
