Brakeman agreement

How much ya wanna bet when they cut the brakeman, remotes are going as well.... engineers are much more efficient than remotes making them essentially cheaper. Today's engineer doesn't really care about getting on the ground to line a switch ahead of him. If something goes dead on the main that crew can go out and bring in that train unlike a remote job. They'll end up cutting deep on trainmen and slowly adding back when they find out how many they need. But thanks North Platte for the "huge" bonus we'll all recieve and getting rid of the 3 move rule turning every train into a work train yall are awesome! πŸ–•πŸ–•πŸ–•πŸ–•πŸ–•
North Platte= Home of the sellouts!

Just because you picked a craft that you have to work 12hr days doesn't mean that I'm entitled and need to work one.... I'm happy with my career choice and would prefer to keep it the way it is or better.

You can be married to the r.r. and su-k on JV but I'd rather be at work as little as possible and home with my family all while making over $100k. Cus guess what that's exactly what they do up in Omaha as well....

tru+1suVJxSh if im called for a coal bucket, why should I have to go out and finish up someone else's work or build a train after I just got done bringing in a train?

Next they'll be having engineers get remote qualified have them run a box along with the conductor....

Might as well just have one big extra board.... which is stupid. Road guys do better in the road and yard guys do better in the yard.

This will run this place to the ground to where only people with 15+ years can be put here, guarantee it! Again πŸ–•πŸ–•πŸ–• North Platte might as well be scabs.

Engineers are way faster than remotes. A lot of places don't have a trim job. You gotta call a crew to pick it up.

Ok now I'm interested in knowing what calculations you performed to determine that engineers were cheaper than remotes. If they were cheaper by a large margin, then they wouldn't have used them in the first place. If a train dies on hours out on the main, they grab a trim job to go get it. They keep the remotes moving at all costs in my location! Engineers are on HOS rules, switch engines are not! I think they're might be a few folks out there that'll have an issue with doing yard work when they don't normally do it. Either way, I'll take that bet! Those remotes aren't going anywhere, at least not for quite a while!
