Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Answers should come End of Month?

I suppose after the BOD meeting (i think May 17), then earnings call May 21, perhaps we will know a bit more??

Nothing new here and if the acquirers are still hunting for financial backing then they are no closer to this than when this was originally announced. Remember they are trying to buy M. M does not own their own paper and the credit accounts customers use. Those are all owned by Citi. IMO I believe Citi also has a strong say in this since they are the one have owned M credit since 2005. I doubt the acquirers are able to get a package deal to finance all involved facets. There are so many pieces to this puzzle that just thinking after a few meetings and an earnings call that it will all fall into place one way or another is foolish. I strongly believe nothing more will be known before we get to Q4.
