Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Truist back to work 5 days in office

After 4 years of being told by upper management that Truist would never go back to the way it was, truist is going backwards at the speed of sound.
Not only 5 days a week in office, but sending reports of our scans in and out of office to supervisors. This is the exact opposite of what we have been told.
People were hired based on the flexible schedule and told 1 to 3 days in office.
Our 401k match was reduced from 6% to 4% and ESP discount went from 15% to 10%
This only crashed the morale, it will not make a single person more productive.
Employees feel gaslit and lied to.
Expect a mass exodus from truist, as stock prices continue to fall.
Work life balance matters and truist knows it and DOES NOT CARE!

Stop whining and do something productive with your time?
Like sit in traffic twice every day??
What could be less productive than wasting time commuting in atlanta traffic?

Actually it would be even funnier if every single employee showed up to work at their nearest Truist office/site/branch etc. and ask where your workspace is, and if everyone is ready to collaborate. Or better yet, have anyone within 50 miiles descend on 214 N. Tryon and ask for a workstation and a colloboration group. That would be pretty damn funny.

As a Truist manager I can say that I actually care for my team and have no intention of enforcing this return to the office cr-p.

Just don’t comply and see what they do. If enough of us do they can’t do anything.

If they really cared about their ESG goals they wouldn’t be requiring people to expand their carbon footprint by commuting into the office to do their jobs less efficiently.

Well, guess what. Rules change with whatever the leaders say. That is the real world. Stop whining about it and do something productive with your energy and time.

The definition of innovation is desperately trying to recreate the work model from 2012.

You must be Truist Securities? Or are you saying we will all be five-days soon?

It is hilarious we're still using the same "hybrid" wording but it's back fulltime.
