No secret - the company isn’t doing great and leadership prioritizes layoffs over innovation. Can anyone confirm the May layoffs people are chirping about?

I was told all year in 2023 " do not worry, you are safe ", only be part of the Oct/Nov 2023 RIF.
Yeah, they definitely lie through their teeth.
Sure what else our ELT/LT can do? Question is when is this big change happening?
The next layoff is big. Engineering go offshore. Product unusable. Private equity next. ELT makes millions and worker gets nothing.
Emails popping up every day about yet someone else leaving or having left this company. I've seen 4 in the past week or so.
Is it the previous ELT's fault for selling a car with square tires?
Or is it the current ELTs fault for continuing to drive a car with square tires?
Put another way Current ELT owns the business. It's their responsibility to replace the "square tires" if round tires are available.
@6ais+1ssHffKh Blame game has begun... while it is true about all previous CEO's, this takes the cake.
This ELT is partially responsible of current fail.
The real responsabile was the LT in place 6 year ago : Vic and the Auditor that close the eyes…. HR and MK were part of the game.
Now they left with a 100M package
Teradata elt are an example of how to do everything wrong when hiring leadership.
- inexperienced
- doesn't know the product
- employment contract
- so bad they have can't leave because nobody would hire them
Unfortunately there's no turning back now.
It is so ironic. I open the TDC page on The Lay Off and the first thing that pops up is an AWS ad. Funny too.
It's just terrible. Morale is very low, no one trusts the ELT anymore, you can see the brown nosers lining up in the brown nose line to keep their jobs again.
The ELT are solely responsible for this debacle and they need to fall on their swords.
All I've heard is that sales is included in this round. I think it will be deep.
I don’t think anyone knows right now. Project simplification is underway and any impacts will be planned in the next few weeks
My boss looked me tight in the eye and said I was safe from the upcoming layoffs. Then three days later got the HR call notice. Lying $hits.
What absolute bollocks
Ask your Boss about layoffs? Why? They are in this to protect there jobs and get a pay check. The last thing they will do is tell you the truth or protect you - infact they will lie. You need to find a way to protect yourself while you get a paycheck. Remember there is an intersection between leadership and mental health. There are sacred values (employee beliefs) and decision conflict ( your Boss saving himself/herself with money) that effect neural processing in people on the opposing sides of right and wrong conflict. That leads to the inevitable human reaction of saving themselves and the justification that what is happening is out of their control. Its called Delusional Disorder
I asked my boss, and his response was immediate, like in .001 seconds, "i haven't heard anything about layoffs" To me that is even more concerning than if he said, "well we all heard the earnings call, 10% cuts across the board are the norm". This looming layoff for some reason feels different, because anyone that gets let go knows it's not their fault. They did everything they could. But, you are as strong as your weakest link, and the weakest link(s) are at the drivers seat: SM, HA, CB, JW. They all have to be part of the RIF.
