Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Vice chair: Lawler !! read between the lines

from the press:
As vice chair, Lawler will focus on:

  1. The next phase of Ford’s strategic development, including important choices across technologies, markets, alliances and segments
  2. All current and future global partnerships, which are increasingly vital to Ford’s customer insight, technological capabilities and competitiveness, and
  3. Engagement with global leaders as vice chair, including in China, Southeast Asia and Europe, to advance industry-critical policy in areas vital to Ford’s strategic and commercial imperatives.

Ford is shopping for a partner or a merger? Perhaps BYD merger???

They have to have two plans and bet the family jewels on one of them:

  1. Biden wins: EVs, Green New Deal, DEI, globalism, importation of more workers to take jobs from Americans at lower pay, moving jobs to LCCs, CCP first
  2. Trump wins: America first, revoke EV mandates, hire Americans

They will have to choose.

Ford has been bought out like all of these other companies. Would not be surprised if Ford one day has a President of the company in China or India.
