Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Another month of Alphabet people charity

Ah yes another month of endlessly asking for donations for another marginalized group of people ,given to an unaccountable organization we no nothing about. I'd like to let Tony an the other half wits know it is also Military Appreciation Month but why should we care about those who protect us everyday many who are also struggling financially. We can't even offer a Military discount to those heroic men and women of all races and religions. Pretty pathetic

The racism, homophobia and all-around bigotry in this thread is a sight to behold.

I refuse to give to any charity at checkout at any store that pushes this. When sears/kmart went through bankruptcy they stiffed St. Jude out of money collected before bankruptcy. It was BS. They made St. Jude stand in line like any other creditor to be paid pennies on the dollar for money customers donated. You never know if the company will actually pass along the donations. DO NOT DO IT. Instead, go directly to the charity website and donate on your own. Cut out the middleman. I am sick thinking of all the customers I asked to donate to St. Jude before bankruptcy.

30+ years?? If you were not fired, maybe it's time you quit.. You are working for a New York based company, If you don't agree with the company's ethics, than go work for a company with ethics that you agree with..You've been there 30+ years and you know what Macy's stands for and supports. I work with people like you that complain for many years and do nothing to change jobs. IMO it makes no sense.

I just bypass the donation im tired of all this woke cr-p. Im sick of the look of customers when it comes up. I don't think we should asking for a cent in this cr-ppy economy. Just asking them to open credit cards at 32 percent interest is a big joke. Just be happy people are buying anything at all

Y’all are a bunch of WATB’s. Yeesh…give, or don’t. It’s YOUR CHOICE. Maybe other people feel good about it. Because you know…humanity. Maybe keep your hate-filled selves to yourself going forward. Just a thought…

For the person who said i was let go or fired from the company. I hate to tell you I am a 30+yr employee who is sick and tired of all the woke cr-p which permeates this company. I just press the pass button and don't bother the customers. I will definitely be really active in doing that in June during LGBTQ and stupid month. Its time to stand up against this cr-p

It's Asian American Month and the company is asking shoppers to round up for a donation!!! Not asking employees to donate! Ge-z, Military discounts are given at select stores that have a large military presence/base close to the store. Stop your whining already and move on with your lives. We Get It! You were fired or let go..... end of story!

It’s a big red flag when a company asks employees to donate money, especially if you know very little about the charity. I wouldn’t give them a dime.

That is why I never give. Tax write off for the company from my donation.

I understand the pressure you're under, I have worked places that had me ask for donation of the month & other retailers pushing credit cards on the poverty stricken but there has to be a limit on what you're willing to do getting paid poverty wages yourself.

It has to be a combined effort though to show strength.

Tax write off for Macy’s & good publicity. Win win for everyone , except the customer!
