Study up on Severance Package at TDC

For all of you left....study up at TDC what your options are for Severance. Ask HR to give you an employee severance document "PRIOR" to your demise. TDC will blind side you with a phone call surprise... and hope you take it ....so say nothing, never mention Lawyer word and ask for the defined time frame to review the severance package. TDC wants you off their books so you can take time and negotiate. Ask HR if TDC designed inclusive DEI severance packages based on GENDER, RACE, AGE, and EXPERIENCE. Begin a conversation with HR so they know you are knowledgeable before you get broadsided. kEY NOTE - Cobra max is 18 months depending on age and Qualifying event (Termination). TDC will have to pay your health care (i.e. PPO) for 18 months If you are over a specific age - Law. Your manager does not know this but ask HR. COBRA will be the same amount you pay as a current employee for 18 months. You can extend your COBRA to 36 months by using Cal-COBRA for California Corp....this is huge. Also, mention DEI and TDC's severance since its a TDC mantra...and its on UTUBE from JW and 2023 Vancouver.
