Thread regarding Coupa Software layoffs

Next big wave again on May 31st

The dark day is here again and shameless leadership is gearing up for the next layoff wave

  • Senior leadership is full of shameless people who are just worried about saving their overly expensive managers in US to foolishly maintain control.
  • No direction from remaining executive leadership who just say yes to everything Thoma says to save their jobs.
  • Firing permanent employees and retaining contractors for the personal benefits
  • US/UK managers treat their remote teams badly and don't let them grow. Open bias is there and shameless leaders don't do anything to fix that.
  • Anyone asking question is fired. They don't let local leadership take decisions and just use them for execution.
  • TB will loose their money because of so many expensive people just playing politics

@MarginMultiplierPoweredByCoupa - What's wrong with her calling it an "end of an era?" It's the end of a very long era in her life. She worked extremely hard for Coupa and was integral to its success all these years, and very much had the respect and admiration of alot of employees and customers.

D’s comp was likely equal to entire teams, can someone really provide that much “value as a service”? And to announce your own departure on LinkedIn as the “end of an era”?!?! Someone needs to get over themselves.

It's May 31st. The only person who should be laid off is the OP for posting this.

Donna gone too? So nobody left standing pretty much. Sad days at Coupa.

Question to OP and anyone who upvoted the post:
Why are you guys still working at coupa? I felt the same about many of your bullet-points, so I left a year ago.

Are you super passionate about the product? Are you trying to leave but haven't found another job yet? Do you have any visa or work-permit issues that prevent you from finding anything new?

Rumors? Well, we only have to wait a little over two weeks to see, given the actions to date of “the girl with the yellow shoes”, I’d tend to believe the “rumors”.
