Old SB got himself a CEO job from a Japanese company. Not bad for having a history of managing two bankrupt companies, 7 blowouts with fires, and three fatalities. His subordinates lost all confidence in him. You have to sc--wup to move up. Congrats SB.
Chesapeake doesn't have a safety program so I can't see how you can cut cost there. We just save money by not following a barrier policy and it only bites us every few years. And we have TB to cover for any negligence that some common folks see clearly. You see, all the VP's have dirt on each other and they take care of their own kind.
Done worry Peakers. We will show you how drilling is really done. Y’all been drilling for oil so much you forgot how to ream a well. We can help you cut cost on all your fancy safety programs too. Some you boys may be out of a job by the time we done educating you.
I bet they keep the sorriest MF'ers in the industry. That means Chesapeake VP's are safe.
