Thread regarding VMware layoffs

What’s the word with Penta?

Are all EUC employees being transitioned to Penta? Some kind of holding company?

What's worse than fear mongering? An employee posting false hope for EUC cowards.

Face the facts, savvy EUC employees are just waiting until the job market recovers and they'll be exiting. The EUC remnant leftovers, especially those in Europe with no job prospects, are doomed. How does that align with your continued post nonsense?

Say you don’t understand how many companies work internationally without saying you don’t understand.
It is a very common practice to use 3rd party employer of record in countries where you do not have a legal entity. There is a balance to be had between number of employees in a country and the cost etc of having a legal entity there. You are required to have a legal entity in a country to hire them. Therefore, companies like Penta exist to allow companies to have an international presence without needing to set up legal entities in every country.
This was the model in VMware for some countries that were actually employed by EMC and subcontracted behind the scenes to VMware. Same model.
But that of course doesn’t align with the fear mongering keyboard warriors that would prefer to bring people anxiety and concern due to their own empty sad lives.

We've all seen this denial before. Some employees wanted to believe that HT would treat VMware differently than the abrupt headcount cuts that were made at CA and Symantec.

Likewise, some EUC employees desperately want it to be true that KKR would never mistreat anyone who is transferred to Penta, instead of trying to find the actual truth.

If you question their fantasy, then you're labeled a troll. They won't listen to reason.

Fact: Penta has taken headcount from legacy tech companies that were acquired by PE firms in the past with the objective of performing the employee cuts and outplacement tasks. Do the research and you'll discover the truth.

"Your choice whether you believe me or not."

Given the lies that Broadcom Software leaders share, and our clueless uninformed leadership within EUC, I don't believe anyone who hasn't fact-checked their sources.

KKR can't be trusted to treat VMW employees fairly. Just look at their track record.

Reminder, KKR is a Private Equity company that uses cost-cutting to extract profit for its shareholders. Everything they do from this point forward will impact EUC employees.

Perhaps. But that has nothing to do with Penta. Stop conflating issues that you don't know about. I am on the inside of this and trying to provide some reason among all the fear mongering.

"Employees will temporarily be employed by those contracting companies and contracted back to Omnissa."

100% fabrication intended to hide the very teal upcoming restructuring by KKR.

It's the outplacement company for those employees not offered jobs by KKR.

100% false.
Omnissa will not have legal entities in all countries right away. Simply because those countries' agencies are so slow and cumbersome.
Employees will temporarily be employed by those contracting companies and contracted back to Omnissa. Doesn't have an impact on pay or benefits.

It’s a third party contractor company. Often used where a business does not have an established entity in a country. BC uses them now.

So if you have not been transitioned to Penta, you should expect to receive an offer from KKR?
