Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Landmark roles - CHA ?

With everything going on I’m super anxious. I’ve heard about July termination for CHA managers.. I imagine this would include CHAs as well. I was hoping for a change but not termination but after reading these posts I have more questions. Thoughts ?

Why would they keep CHAs, if they can pay significantly lower to the Central? It was a logical step since autodialer was introduced. It is a waiting game. All comes down to if you are desperate to make a first move or willing to play a sitting duck.
Impossible for people in the premium markets to get hired internally, due to already higher pay. UHC/Optum only looking for those who is willing to take the lowest pay in the range. That whole bs about "leveraging the talent" they keep on repeating every company broadcast. Ugh...

I have heard CHA managers will be let go in July and CHA's in September, but nothing concrete. I was a CHA in the TN market. We have been the top market and I could not take the not knowing if I was going to have a job from week to week. I was hired to an internal position with UHC. If you are still in the CHA position, I would recommend updating your resume and applying internally and externally just to be on the safe side. As I said, I have no idea, but with how things are going, I would say it's no stable. I could be totally wrong, but I was not willing to take the chance. Good luck to everyone out there.

I’m in TN and they let the SOM, HSM, CHA, CC Sup and ambassadors go on 5/2. I heard another round was happening sometime in July. I was not expecting this from UHG/Optum, thought there would be change but not like this.
