When will Dell finally realize that it's easier AND cheaper to keep good employees by promoting them than losing them and having to replace them with several new employees? Not to mention, it costs us to promote butt-kissers who are not good at what they do. This is a strategy that guarantees failure in the long run.

@OP+1soGcX34 no caring has been this t way for decades because we're simply a resource that can be replaced; Dell and Austin have enough cache to easily recruit
The leaders themselves love flattery and sycophants. Doesn't matter if they don't know what they are doing as long as they brown nose the right person. I've seen it over and over, the ones who really get stuff done are let go and the creeps who barely know what they are doing are still there. If you got laid off it is a blessing disguise. It's a big enough company that you can move around but even that is political there and is not that easy to do and the RTO order made it even harder to get promoted, unless you are in the C suite, then all the perks are still there. It's all political now, in the long run it will impact them as a company. There are talented people there but you spend your time going to endless meetings and nothing gets done. No original ideas either and lots of scope stealing and bullying. The BU I was in was very toxic.
Dell doesn’t deliver. They plan. If they talk about the plans long enough it will become reality. The stock is artificially high right now and is going to drop like a rock by years end.
Wait a minute! I recognize who wrote this. It is that butt kisser from 7!
They wont reallze it....especially with JC doing most of the day to day leadership now
Sadly, often the way to progress in your career is to change companies often. I didn't get to the position I am in by staying at 1 company. I changed jobs every 2-4 years. I see people who have spent 10-25 years at one company and they are far behind me in terms of salary and upward mobility.
Even if Dell paid better I would still recommend leaving and going to other companies. Try startups, try industry giants etc... Your career will be better for it.
Dell wants people to leave. Why are you being so d-mb. They aren’t hiring
This mindset is filled with flaws.
If you were good why would you stay here year over year in hopes they would change for you?? Even if they changed you would be so negative in opportunity costs it would pointless
