Store Director got off her conference call today and had a complete mood change. Store is on the potential closing list. Did this happen anywhere else? Do you think something just got announced? Hope to find out soon, this game is getting old!

The homeless, mentally ill, gangs, thugs, thieves, and flash mob teens are not helping either. Customers don’t feel safe anymore.
Well not making your number is easy to figure out.. You canned all your Top sales people and true talent and left with do nothings b-ms who could careless. Macys did it to themselves..
Nothing was announced this week. Your Director is probably just reflecting on her career choices and limited opportunities for advancement, development, and long term career growth after yet another Teams call. Nothing is more depressing than going into the store every day and seeing less and less traffic. No amount of almost back to back VIP, Friends and Family, and mid week One Day Sales events is having an impact. We are down to just four managers since the reductions at the start of the year and our Store Manager spends most of her time trying to do the job of the CXM or OOM positions that were eliminated.
She says that the new motto coming out of the Chicago meeting is "Do Less, but Do It Better, but like usual, this is just more corporate double speak. We are so desperate to get every sale that we are now overlapping presale events, it's confusing for customers and colleagues alike. It's like the new motto is really "Do More, All At Once". The desperation is overwhelming with daily emails about credit performance and weekly punishment calls for stores that aren't making the crazy new goals.
Congrats to your Director if she can keep positive enough for you to be able to tell the difference when she gets off of yet another never ending Teams call.
