U don’t need a lawyer yet. Make a visit to EEoC on a walk in day. Get there 1/2 hour before they open. File a claim with EEOC. EEOC will do the investigation and make a determination. This takes a long time. When the investigation is complete, they will make a judgement. After that, you will have 90 days to get a lawyer. A lawyer is useless until you get a EEOC ruling. TALK with EEOC first!

Sorry to read of the experience you are going through. My experience with HR and disability has been they will see what they can get away with until you let them know, in a firm, professional manner, you know the laws and your rights. That often changes their tune because imo they assume everyone but themselves are d-mb and can be bullied. If you have already tried that or gone that path hopefully a lawyer can set them straight.

My experience was trying to get an ADA accommodation and they denied it even though per Federal rules it was an easy request and no skin off their a-s. Sent them a counter argument while citing the laws, even though they tried saying there was no second attempt at the process and they quickly changed their tune and granted the request. Hope it turns out in your favor.
