Each TH is a joke. Everyone laughs at it. Even managers roll their eyes at it. No true direction and no true vision. Just the hope that the layoffs will cause the Citi stock to rise.
As mentioned before you need to deliver something else. You have to have some sort of growth plan for the sustained rise of the stock price. As mentioned before you have to:
a.) provide something new that your competitors don’t have
and\or
b.) provide a better service or product that your competitor has.
Economics 101, literally this is taught day one of class. For the longest time all Citi has done is publicly brag about DEI hirings and promotions, which is great but it does nothing to bolster revenue. Its time to start bragging about something else. Unfortunately due to the fines and embarrassing lawsuits, there’s nothing. Jane is so out of her depth on leadership that she had to hire someone from the outside to try and figure out where to cut because she herself does not know. The layoff was the ONLY thing she could come up with to raise the price. Now that has lost its “newness”, can it not only sustain but can it grow or will it flatline or worse, dip.
The TH does not provide any confidence on any level about a solid direction much less stability.
I am a feminist, a Citi veteran, and now a believer that Jane is a clueless token. All she has done is layoff people to boost the stock price, and she has done so in spectacular fashion.
I like today. Very good show. I think show only 15 minutes but big surprise to find out 30 minutes long of very special presentation!! The dog comes out for dog and pony show and every one clap and make jokes then pony does tricks very good with dog. Very entertaining and good. Because of dog and pony show I very much like and good to know we do so good right now. Then I hear noise like little mouse chewing talk tsk tsk I say I do not believe my ears and hear more sounds like swallowing part of magic tricks done during show very good very great opportunity here today to see dog and pony show and beautiful flower arrangement on table Thankyou
Her Pep Talk BullSH!T speech was obviously rehearsed and scripted. You have to give credit to the Citi Communications and PR Departments. They know how to spin Horse SH!T !
For CEO Insane Jane to say that 50,000 employees/Svckers were transferred to a new boss/team, does NOT mean the employees/Svcker like their new boss/team. Employees were force fed into the new teams with a take it or leave message, along with "just be happy you have a job" attitude. This is one way Citi will get natural attrition without having to pay Severance costs. Most of these employees will QUIT voluntarily because they HATE their new boss/team. The 15's meeting was a BullSh!t Pep Talk as usual.
I was confused by her messages of 'don't wait for me / others/ your leader to take action' and then 'let's work together / less layers / silos bad'. What I heard loud and clear was: 1. We have no plan 2. Figure it out quickly for us by any means possible 3. We can't tell you what 'it' is per the no actual plan issue. 4. Please don't leave, we don't know what we're doing.
It’s probably all she is good at.
It was a very sad attempt at looking like things are going well. 50K people with new managers in something they should have probably kept on the DL. Sounds like a hot mess tbh.
Have to say it, she looks like an evil boss lady straight out of an 80's movie.
The lady needs to drink more water 😀. She is very dry, no pun intended.
Does anyone want to hear a pep talk right now? Does anyone believe this is a company at the top of the industry, a wonderful place to work, and using cutting edge technology?
For me this talk is totally inappropriate so soon after the reorg.
