Anyone have any inside scoop on what will be happening with navi? I’m sure there’s more layoffs to come, but what about the actual work we do? Who will take over? People working directly under optum? Are contracts not being renewed so there will be less work? I’m talking about grade 27 roles such as PSC, ADC, SICC, CMCC, HHCC

Other posters have said that Blue Cross contract is ending in September and they aren’t renewing. Guess they don’t want to be a part of the security issues, lawsuits and other issues with Navi’s steaming pile of dung.
Humana seems slower than usual? Not sure what to make of that
I agree about Blue Cross pulling out. I think it is a matter of time. The way Optum Home and Community (formerly NaviHealth) runs things is worse than how Navi did things. I don’t see how Blue Cross can stay with them with the messes they are creating. Once that happens then we’ll see a lot more cuts. I also agree about how preservice could be cut easily by the other poster’s response.
Preservice already does CSR for IRF. I’m sure they could cut the dept by 3/4 easily to have PSCs do CSRs for SNF or just transition the load to SICC/CMCC
Personal opinion here…I think BCBSM and HUM will cancel…humana was named in lawsuit and Blue Cross I feel is not happy (I don’t know for sure about either just a feeling)….:also, if they wanted to save money they could cut the preservice dept with the snap of their fingers, and I’ll tell you how: everyone who wants to go to SNF can go for an initial 3 day or 5 day period without prior auth. I guess that would mean more people would be needed to do continued stay potentially as SICCS would need to identify those that need medical director review early in their stay.
