Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Where are all the “supposed” leaders???

Who is driving the bus?…….off the cliff??…… and why??
This company is run by toddlers who lack the foresight to put together any type of plan of action. The most reactive leadership(and I use that word with extreme prejudice) I have ever experienced. This company is managed backwards.
Optum’s business plan:

  1. Lay off everyone
  2. Uh-oh let’s have a meeting to discuss who is going to do the work
  3. Well that meeting did nothing so let’s schedule another one
  4. Ge-z why don’t we have another meeting to accomplish nothing
  5. 4 weeks later…. No plan still. Let’s start planning the next round of layoffs

We all got laid off… they don’t want to hear strategies and tactical plans that support staff, providers and patients… they want to hear what’s the fastest most profitable plan.

Nothing can grow exponentially without destroying itself. Either you can make a lot of money fast, or less money for a longer period of time… guess which camp Optum is in?

Exactly, way too reactionary. Heavy handed approaches with things that require planning and precision not even just layoffs but every major decision.
