Sounds like you have answered your own question. Why work for Intel? Most jobs eventually s-ck so go for the best offer you can get. Spend as little time as possible doing a good job but spend most of your time enjoying life. It is shorter than you think.
Yeah in 6 or 7 years when Intel's profit margin is the same as it was in 2018 - the stock will double by then!
Stay away
Get in now and you will
Reap the rewards of joining Intel on the way up. If you are good, join now. Do not be afraid to ask for more stock as a signing bonus. Go all in with the 15% stock purchase plan, perform great and get good stock at rewards and in 3 -4 years you will be able to buy a house in Arizona free and clear. Make the decision and get in…….this is the biggest no brainer on earth!
a lot of companies are cr-p now
a high stock price doesn't necessarily mean the company has interesting work or is safe
quite a few of them just make the same product over again cheaply and/or have great marketing like apple
Before CEO Craig Barrett became CEO in 1998 I had a long list of reasons Intel was a great place to work. Over the years the company has changed radically. Now...Not so much. Find a career in a company that values its employees.
@iee+ I got a shared link from my friends to this site because they said Intel is laying off its employees
One Warren Buffett quote may offer the best explanation for what's behind Intel's chronic underperformance. The Berkshire Hathaway chief once told his deputies, "We can afford to lose money -- even a lot of money. But we can't afford to lose reputation -- even a shred of reputation."
Meanwhile, Intel has spent heavily on dividends and share buybacks over its history, seemingly at the expense of the core business. As the company now tries to crack the AI GPU market, its track record offers plenty of reasons to doubt its capabilities.

Why work hard for below industry wages to turn around a company that shot itself in the foot? Wages are industry standard? Maybe average wages since there are so many overpaid employees who don't do sh !t. They're just gonna work your a55 off doing something you won't be proud of.
Why are you at Intel.
