Who’s up next on the chopping block?

I don’t work there anymore (product of layoff) but from having lunch recently with former coworkers. Management isn’t communicating about the weekly layoffs internally. They recently had a company wide meeting with the new CEO where all the sunshine was spread. Rumblings are in the lower groups below management about how confusing tasks are now with the recent layoffs and now workloads are shuffled. Management is lying to staff trying to keep a smiley face and keep going.
For those of you who are still with the company, how is the work environment right now? Has people voluntarily left? Work load? What's the overall mood of the company? Word has gotten around to other companies of what's been happening. Collaborators who Medical Solutions works alongside with, competitor companies, etc. People are asking questions. Asked if the company had shut down or is heading that way. Curious on how the company is handling the backlash from other companies.
Did they get rid of the Russian yet? That’s gonna save loads of money..not to mention all those finance directors in accounting. Get rid of her and all the former Hayneedle employees…the ship might upright itself.
What are we hearing or what are the current rumblings? Company wants to save money then why do they still have over lap of roles. Why are they not trimming from the top? Why does a company need so many VPs etc? I feel bad for those in sales and support departments being worked to bone to make the same people who put it in the sh----r all their monies. Why don’t they take pay cuts clearly they didn’t do their jobs well…….
I was apart of the first round of layoffs in October. After 3 years of (stupidly) believing that I worked for such an amazing company. My best advice is to dust off your resume and look at a career move to a completely different industry. Travel nursing is extremely toxic all the way around. Everyone from middle management to the travelers themselves are expendable. No matter “how valued” they led you to believe you were. Just keep in mind, if you are effected, it is ZERO reflection on you as a professional!
Does anyone think or know if there will be layoffs on the sales side this week (client managers and/or recruiters)??
Oh so former Hayneedle employees can’t recruit anymore VPs or Directors? Let’s do a head count from when VP of finance came in and VP of accounting came in. A lot of the upper layers are all former Hayneedle employees. Let’s get rid of at least 3 finance directors in Accounting, the nasty toxic controller and a couple of sorry VPs. Sorry friends you want to clean house…it’s starts in operations accounting.
It sounds like recruiting, at least at a corporate level, is being affected.
does anyone have any more updates or rumors of when more layoffs will happen?
I am not sure which departments will be directly impacted next as that has been kept on the downlow to avoid panic, but have heard rumblings that within the next couple weeks more people being let go is expected. From the sounds of it, layoffs will continue each month until quota is met whenever that may be. In the last all company meeting they stated that they aren't expecting to meet quota until at least 2025. Which means at least another 6+ months of continuous layoffs monthly affecting each department.
not sure who you are as this is anonymous, but curious to know if you've heard anything through the grapevine of which departments are going to be affected next.
I recommend keeping current with all medical appointments and renewing all prescriptions asap so that if you are layed off you have time to figure out your next steps for insurance coverage. I was impacted by an unexpected lay off and my insurance ended the next day. Not ideal!
