Is anyone concerned with the earnings call this week potentially causing another layoff? Quarter 4 had some bad numbers and it has been slow since mid January. We heard about sales and some of customer service being let go mid April, so it’s concerning that the same department may get hit after the numbers come out and they have used everyone for wayday and post wayday.

Just waiting for it! Hired in Digital but now lots of movement to phones so only JSL in digital? Really....guess WF doesn't care! We'll see what happens tomorrow! Friday!
Actually the last silent layoff was April 17th. Sales digital in North America and frontline agents on flex who have been with Wayfair less than a year. This affected 97 employees. I don’t think they time these based solely on bonus payouts. What they have been guilty of is using agents to deal with big sales and post order issues, then letting them go.
Last silent layoff was one week before bonuses. Way day was more about OT.
How valid is this information? Riff coming this week?
Will the RIF be targeting all remote positions after Way Day or only customer service jobs?
L5s and above are already in talks about the next RIF. Customer service jobs are getting outsourced and you are only safe if you are in the Georgia location. They were at our location last week having their big meeting and discussing their next steps. They are planning to do the next RIF after Wayday, and just using the remote employees until its over.
Prepare. IM0 we are all on borrowed time. Remote roles at W are over.
I think anyone with any real knowledge is no longer employed at Wayfair to give that answer. I used to see upper management comment on this site with more concrete information, but that was before the last big layoff. They may have silenced them by cutting their jobs as well. At this point, we can only make assumptions and gage it off past instances. I would say be prepared either way, if it doesn’t happen soon after this earnings report, it’s probably in the agenda in the near future. Anyone still left working remote, regardless of your job with Wayfair should have their resumes updated and be on the look out for other employment opportunities just in case. I do not see any job title or function that work in the US remotely being safe. Your time may not be right now, but it’s definitely not safe.
I beleive we saw layoffs two weeks after our last wayday? The concern is real.
