You get 1 share per year of service. Capped at 10 years. So the most you can get is 10 shares.
So…basically the equivalent of a tank of gas and a 30 rack. While we pay MSC THIRTY fu--ing dollars for a single 0.1 oz bottle of superglue.

They are going to give us something now so they can take it away on the next contract. After giving up so much over the last twenty years the company has no more carrots to dangle.
I’d much rather just have them adjust pay to compensate for/keep up with inflation. Pretty sad when there’s hiring signs at McDonald’s that start higher than a TIG welder would here who builds jet engine parts.

It will be stock (hence the term equity) or stock options with a requirement to remain at GE for a certain period of time to be able to sell or exercise it.

I believe it has something to do with the recent FTC ruling that bans non-compete nationwide and gives all employees the freedom to change jobs freely. GE will probably offer some incentive to remain in your present position for some tenure. Perhaps stock options?
