Can anyone share their experience to get redeployed?

Ugh. A lot of negative energy here, probably well deserved.
I was sure I would be laid off and had grand plans to take advantage of it. What happened? My position was eliminated as I expected, but I was moved to a new position that was a great fit, great opportunity, and gives me a career path out of the dead I was in. I honestly have no idea how it happened, but will make the best of it until the next round of layoffs. And then the real future plans can begin 😀.

Redeployment happens to low cost zones and low salary range. Your salary will be renegotiated as it’s external application not through internal. Its equivalent to finding job in outside company and losing your severance.

We all know why people want to work for this place - get paid wages that only managers and directors earn at any other place while only working with excel spreadsheets and obtain ranks and promotions that no other place large or small would even consider for such mediocrity, but good luck being able to stay and good luck being able to land a decent job with such poor skillset required at this bank.
Why would you want to continue working for the garbage? Take the money and run.
