I work on the UHC HEDIS team; we are just wrapping up the chart chase for the year. I have heard from a former co-worker that NCQA is saying that the HEDIS hybrid will be eliminated by 2030. UHC leadership has not addressed this with us at all. Has Optum leadership discussed this openly with Optum HEDIS teams? I know a silly question for something 5.5 years down the road.

The quality carrot health plans dangle in front of their providers, mean while profiting from CMS
The change to digital measures will affect everyone who works at HEDIS, not just UHC. Health plans will still need hybrid chases until there are no more. Why alarm their teams now and possibly disrupt workflows with people panicking? You know it's ending; you do what's right for you. If your question really is will UHC/Optum move you to other roles? Don't count on it.
