If Gennette made almost $12 million last year, we as rank and file employees are being duped, lied to, and exploited. We need to stand up, and fight for ourselves. The average Macys employee is making $15 per hour, or about $30,000 per year, why is a crooked, corrupt, lying CEO making 400 times more than his average worker??? This borders on corruption and exploitation.

They can leave, but then post that their new CEO makes 900x the average employee.
CEO salaries come out and every company on here has the same general posting.
Its the same reason on every survey in every company the number 1 complaint is pay.
Instead of whining and complaining you're free to leave.
I met him years ago nice guy in person. Just like many CEOs their salary is unbelievably high part of it due to stock options. I’m sure Tony is making decent dollars as well.
Yeah working the floor should at least pay 2 million. All that education and decision making, and being responsible for just yourself. Ge-z that's worth 2 million.
What does he do for that kind of money? Certainly nothing that benefits Macys employees. What a con job.

You have a right to leave, am I correct in assuming? Next job you take, ask how much the CEO makes before you take the job.
